August Wrap Up | 2020

This was another month where I ended up getting shoved off course, I ended up getting sidelined by one of the books I read. I thought I would get more read but it wasn’t meant to be. I am ploughing forward and hopefully September with the change in weather will see me have a little more time for reading.

On with the wrap up:

  • 6 books read
  • 0 e-arcs
  • 2011 pages
  • 17 blog posts published (not including this one)
  • 65/100 books read for Goodreads Challenge (On track)
  • 31/50 prompts completed for the POPSUGAR Reading Challenge
  • 16/26 letters completed for the A-Z Reading Challenge
  • 30/52 prompts completed for the 52 books in 52 weeks challenge.
  • All The Birds in the Sky by Charlie Jane Anders | I have to say I’m still not sure about this one, there were so many good points but overall I was a little disappointed.
  • Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman| I loved the world-building in this one and I have to say the fantasy element of this one was brilliant. It wasn’t my favourite Gaiman book but I still really liked it.
  • The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen | This was a reread for me and I still loved it as much as I did the first time I read it. I am definitely excited to read the second one in the series soon, hopefully.
  • Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice | Another reread for me, however this one took me SO long to read and it really threw me off this month it was just super boring.
  • Regretting You by Colleen Hoover | Usually I’m a big fan of Colleen Hoover but this one was a miss for me. I didn’t connect with the characters and I couldn’t sympathise with the ending.
  • Jane Doe by Victoria Helen Stone | When they said this was a thriller I was expecting a little more suspense than what I got. I was a little underwhelmed but I enjoyed reading the book overall.

I was thrown off course again but this time by Interview with the Vampire, but the list is smaller than last month so hopefully I will have brand new books on this list next month. Fingers crossed.

  1. What a shame you got knocked off course! I had two big review books to read this month which took up a lot of time; they were good but I got a bit worried about getting everything finished!
