June Wrap Up & July TBR | 2024
June turned out to be a slower month for me, I listened to a lot of books and it was a fantasy heavy month. I enjoyed a lot of what I read this month and I think it has to be one of my higher rated months in terms of overall rating.
Stats for my May Wrap Up
- Books finished – 10
- DNF – 1
- New reads – 5
- Rereads – 5
- Pages read – 3715

Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing
I have never felt so sad getting to the end of a book and realising that there won’t be another memoir with an update. There was so much hope and excitement for the rest of his life that I was just left heartbroken.

The Narrow Road to the Deep North
This is definitely one I will be picking up later on in the year, I just struggled with getting through it this month. I feared a little bit of a slump and wanted to get ahead of it and read things I was in the mood for.

- Red Rising by Pierce Brown – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- The Duke and I by Julia Quinn – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- A is for Alibi by Sue Grafton – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing by Matthew Perry – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Wolfsong by TJ Klune – ⭐⭐⭐
- The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- She Who Became the Sun by Shelley Parker-Chan – ⭐⭐⭐

The Black Prism
I am really enjoying being back in the fantasy space, and this book is the perfect book to do that with. It has a great magic system and the characters seem to be an interesting bunch!
An Offer From a Gentleman
This will be the year that I make it through my reread of the whole series. I am really enjoying the books so far, and I’m excited to finally get to the other ones I’ve not read so far.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Harry Potter is a comfort read for me and I usually put the audiobook on in the middle of the night when I’m struggling to sleep and need to calm my brain down. It will probably take me a while to get through but it’s like a warm cup of tea.
July TBR
So I’ve decided this month I won’t be using my jar to choose my books. I’m going on a cruise mid-month with limited space for books so I need to make sure I have Kindle books as a priority this month! I’m still going with five challenge reads and two from my physical bookshelves.
