May Wrap Up & June TBR | 2024
This is a very late wrap up but May was a busy month and the start of June seems to have flown by. I did manage to get through a few books last month, and I had a lot more success with the books I had chosen and there were a few that I genuinely enjoyed.
Stats for my May Wrap Up

Lessons in Chemistry
There is something special about this book. I adored the characters and the way that the story was constructed. It handles really difficult issues without ever feeling like it’s preaching or shoving it down your throat.
⭐⭐⭐⭐1/2

Icebreaker
This wasn’t a bad book, I just don’t think I was the right audience for it. I didn’t particularly enjoy the characters, and the epilogue drove me mad.

Wolfsong
This is such a beast of a book and it’s taking me a little while to get through at the minute. The writing style is a little disjointed and distant. It’s definitely not my favourite TJ Klune, but we shall see where it leads.
Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing
I love Friends, and this one has been on my radar for a little while, so wanted to jump into it. I really love Matthew Perry so this should be an interesting read.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Harry Potter is a comfort read for me and I usually put the audiobook on in the middle of the night when I’m struggling to sleep and need to calm my brain down. It will probably take me a while to get through but it’s like a warm cup of tea.
June TBR
I feel like I have finally hit my stride and I’m finally enjoying reading again. I’m hoping for great books for this month, there is a lot going on so need stuff that will hold my attention! Fingers crossed that these choices will do that, especially seeing as it’s a fantasy heavy month.

What are you planning on reading this month? And did you find any new favourites last month? I would love to know.

I loved Lessons in Chemistry and agree with your Icebreakers review, it was definitely overhyped
I think the ending of Icebreakers made me hate it all the more. I would have loved for them to just be a successful couple without all the rest.
Great wrap up! I’m always pumped if I can read more than 5 books a month. And I definitely agree Icebreaker was not as good as promised. I felt like that book would never end
