December Wrap Up | 2020
Goodbye 2020 and hello 2021! I will be doing a general year wrap up at some point and my TBR will be delayed a little whilst I work out the challenges and what not. But I wanted to write about my reading in the last month of the year because I really did read quite a lot.
On with the wrap up:
- 13 books read
- 0 e-arcs
- 4689 pages
- 17 blog posts published (not including this one)
- 106/100 books read for Goodreads Challenge (6 books ahead)
- 49/50 prompts completed for the POPSUGAR Reading Challenge
- 24/26 letters completed for the A-Z Reading Challenge
- 48/52 prompts completed for the 52 books in 52 weeks challenge.

- The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon| I am so glad that I got to end the year on such a good reread, this book is one of my absolute favourites and listening to the audiobook was a whole new fantastic experience.
- Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami| Another reread, this was a book that I had read during university and love and I ended up loving it all over again, such brilliant characters and I adored the story.
- These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong | I picked this one up at last minute and I really enjoyed it, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect but this one was interesting enough and I enjoyed the fantasy elements.
- Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie | There were a lot of rereads this month and I was actually glad to have reread this one. I loved it first time round but felt that some parts dragged a little, but this time around I didn’t seem to have that issue.
- The Watch That Ends the Night by Allan Wolf | I’m not usually a massive fan of poetry but I think because this one had a story line that I was already aware of made it a more enjoyable experience.

- The Potion Diaries by Amy Alward | Like I said, this month was a month of rereads and this one was definitely a fun easy read to end the year with. There are some really great characters and a good concept!
- The Sandman by Neil Gaiman | I ended up reading the first 8 volumes of The Sandman and LOVING it, the artwork is phenomenal and the story was so well done!
- Pine by Francine Toon | This was such a cover buy and I’m sorry to say it didn’t hit the mark. There was so much not happening in this book it became a little monotonous and dull.
- The Wicked King and The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black | I am so happy I finally got to the end of this series, I will say it was a little underwhelming but I’m glad I gave it a shot!
- Year One by Nora Roberts | This one started off so well and I thought I had found a new favourite but there was so much that was underdeveloped and cringe-worthy that I wish I had DNF’d it.

- Sold on a Monday by Kristina M. Morris | I really enjoyed the concept of this one, but it fell a little flat in the end for me and I wish there had been a little more meat to the story.

What did you manage to read this month? Anything good? Let me know in the comments!

My top read of the month was Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens, I can’t believe it was never on my radar until now, it was so beautifully written.
That was one of my favourites of the year as well 🥰 such a fantastic book!
