March Wrap Up & April TBR | 2024

March was a slow month for me, I was in a bit of a rut and I really struggled through a lot of three star reads which no one wants really. I struggled to be interested in anything I was reading and I think I just lost a little bit of my excitement for reading. Definitely feels like a slump month!

Stats for my March Wrap Up

  • Books finished – 8
  • DNF – 0
  • New reads – 7
  • Rereads – 1
  • Pages read – 2791

The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi

This is a phenomenal read and a series I cannot wait to continue on with. The mythology and magic was brilliantly written and the characters were some of my all time favourites.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A View Across the Rooftops

I really wanted to like this one but the writing just wasn’t for me. I didn’t think it dived deep enough into the history and I wanted to love the characters more.

⭐⭐

  • The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill – ⭐⭐
  • The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi by Shannon Chakraborty – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Finlay Donovan is Killing It by Elle Cosimano – ⭐⭐⭐
  • Dark Star Burning, Ash Falls White by Amelie Wen Zhao – ⭐⭐⭐
  • A View Across the Rooftops by Suzanne Kelman – ⭐⭐
  • The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave – ⭐⭐⭐
  • Witch Hunter by Virginia Boecker – ⭐⭐⭐
  • Learn My Lesson by Katee Robert – ⭐⭐⭐

The Stardust Thief

I’m currently halfway through this one. I’m enjoying it but it’s taking me a little time to get through. The story is good but there’s a lot happening which doesn’t make a huge amount of sense at the minute.

Wolf by Wolf

This has been on my radar for a little while and I thought it was the perfect time to jump into it. I’m really enjoying the world and the way it has been set up!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Harry Potter is a comfort read for me and I usually put the audiobook on in the middle of the night when I’m struggling to sleep and need to calm my brain down. It will probably take me a while to get through but it’s like a warm cup of tea.

April TBR

This is going to be my come back month! I can feel it. I’m excited about the books on my TBR and the motivation to read is definitely building! There are some great books on the lineup this month so I can’t wait to dive into it and read some 5 stars hopefully.
