December Wrap Up | 2019
So December was supposed to be my catch up month where I ended up getting ahead of the game and started the New Year with no outstanding e-ARCs and I would have returned all my books to the library. I tried my best but I think I underestimated how much of a spanner Christmas would throw into the works. So I’m not ahead in my reading and I still haven’t caught up on my reviews, but I had a great Christmas with my family and I couldn’t have asked for better.
- 12Â books read
- 2 e-arcs
- 3,980Â pages
- 14Â blog posts published (not including this one)
- 106/80Â books read for Goodreads Challenge (Completed!)

- The Subtle Knife – This was the start of me falling out of love with this series. The plot line and the story didn’t grab me as much as the first one and the characters started to grate on me.
- Mr Dickens and his Carol – I joined a book club! This was the first book I got to read with them. There was definitely a great atmosphere and some really nice parts but I’m not sure I would read it again.
- CTRL+S – Only one of the two arcs I managed to read this month, but I’m really glad I read this one, I loved the storyline and the conspiracy that wound its way throughout the story it was well written.
- The Amber Spyglass – I am so glad to be done with this series it really started to wind me up and I ended up really hating the characters and the ending.

- Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death & Death of a Gossip – I have heard really great things about these books and I thought I better start from the beginning, and I don’t even regret it one bit.
- The First Time I Saw You – This was the other e-arc that I managed to read and I have to say this was a little darker than I was planning on getting through but I really enjoyed the storyline and the way that it was all laid out.
- Circe – Can I have a favourite? Because this might just be it. I was so surprised by how much I loved this book especially because I hated her other one so much!

- Birdbox – I am so glad that I watched the movie for this one before reading the book. It kinda prepared me for the creepiness that is this book because boy did it freak me out.
- Perfect People – I was recommended this one by one of my best friends and I have to say I did really enjoy it. I did have a few problems with the end but I’m glad I read it!
- New Boy – This is the second book in my book club journey and I am so glad I didn’t have to read Othello to know what the hell was going on!
- Amulet – I had seen other people talk about this as a good series, I’m glad I tried it but I have to say I’m happy to not take it any further. It just wasn’t a good fit for me and I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I was going to!
