August Wrap Up & September TBR | 2023
Long time no wrap up! It’s strange to think that my first wrap up this year will be more than half way through. But August was the first month I actually feel as though I got on top of my reading in a real way. It was a brilliant month for me and one that I’m particularly proud off.
Stats for my August Wrap Up 2022
- Books finished – 9
- DNF – 0
- New reads – 9
- Rereads – 0
- Pages read – 2952

Fourth Wing
This is the beginning of my Dragon era, it has been a long time since a book peaked my interest quite as well as Fourth Wing. It is definitely worth the hype and the characters and plot were well written and developed.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Twisted
I thought I would really enjoy Twisted but I found it a little bit of a drudge to get through. The story was well written and the twist was surprising. But I just wasn’t enthralled as well as I wanted to be.

Divine Rivals
I am flying through this one, I have seen so much hype and talk about how great this story is I had to pick Divine Rivals up and see for myself. So far it is living completely up to the hype, and it has me so enthralled. I don’t think it will be long until this is added to the read list.
The Sun Down Motel
This was definitely a book I picked up on a whim and I don’t know whether it’s going to pay off. It’s a little bit of slower read but I am enjoying where the characters are taking me and the general mystery. It may end up being a high rated read yet.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder
A reread for me, I adore this book and I really want to get into the rest of the series by the end of the year. It was just as good as I remembered and I still really love the different casting.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter is a comfort read for me and I usually put the audiobook on in the middle of the night when I’m struggling to sleep and need to calm my brain down. It will probably take me a while to get through but it’s like a warm cup of tea.

September TBR
I have become a full blown mood reader and trying to create a TBR at the minute is a little harder than it used to be. So I’ve decided to just pick books I’m interested in picking up and see where the month takes me. Who knows whether I will read any of these or whether I’ll go completely off base. The joys of not knowing what my brain will take a fancy too.

What are you planning on reading this month? And did you find any new favourites last month? I would love to know.

Happy to see we agree on Fourth Wing and I’m Glad My Mom Died! 🥰 I hope you’re having a great September!
