March TBR | 2020

February was such a great month for reading. I really hit my stride and found some books that I really loved. I’m really excited for March actually because I feel really motivated to keep this streak going and maybe get some more challenge books read and completed.

I managed to clear two of my e-arcs off my list last month so the other two have made it and I have scored The Court of Miracles of Netgalley which I am SO excited for. So this month shouldn’t be too hard!

• House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas – This is probably one of my most anticipated books of the year and I cannot wait to jump into it and see whether it becomes one of my firm favourites.| PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book published in 2020 |
• Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly – I am really looking forward to reading more about the women who worked in NASA and what their part in that was. I have never heard anything about this so whole new subject for me. | PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book on a subject you know nothing about |
• The Alice Network by Kate Quinn – I have heard wonderful things about this book and I am excited to read about the work these women did and fingers crossed I love it! | PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book that passes the Bechdel test |
• A is for Alibi by Sue Grafton – I wish I had just picked this one up last month, it sounds like something I would love to read but I just think it fell by the wayside which is a little unfortunate.| PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book with only words on the cover, no images or graphics & 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – Written by a female author

• A Gap of Time by Jeanette Winterson – This is the next book in our library book club and I have managed to get a challenge to match it so that counts as a win for me.| 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – A genre you don’t normally care for |
• The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt – I have heard amazing things about this book, and it has been sat on my shelf for a really long time, so I’m excited to finally jump into it!| PopSugar Reading Challenge – A bildungsroman & 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – A strong “friendship” theme |
• Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel – I love the sound of this one, and it has had some really great reviews and who doesn’t want to learn more about a travelling dystopian circus? | PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book set in a country beginning with C & 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – Published when you were 20|
• 10 Minutes 38 Seconds in this Strange World by Elif Shafak – I seriously cannot wait to get into this one, I have heard wonderful things about this book and the author, so fingers crossed I love it. | 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – Literary Fiction |

• Harry Potter 6 & 7 – I have nearly finished The Order of the Phoenix, and I’m excited to jump into The Half-Blood Prince! Fingers crossed I make some headway this month!

All of the books above are part of a challenge and I realised that I have books that I want to read but that can’t really take priority at the moment, so I have added a section for books I want to read but only if I get some of the ones above read.

• Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb – I’m actually currently reading this one, it’s a little slow but I can see why it is a beloved series, will definitely finish this one off this month!
• Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas – Hoping to carry on with the series and get finally ready for Kingdom of Ash! I cannot wait!
• The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski – I really want to watch The Witcher on Netflix but I have to read it before I watch it so, this has been added to my list this month!
• Walkers of Dembley by M.C. Beaton – I just really love reading this series, it makes me immensely happy and I love how involved I have gotten with the characters!
