April TBR | 2020
March was not a great month for me reading wise, my anxiety has gotten a little out of control and I haven’t been reading as much as I thought I would be. I’m hoping I can get on top of everything and start reading more and hit some more of my goals, and hopefully have less on my missed book list.
If you want to know more about my challenges here are some posts:

- Bound in Flame
- The Court of Miracles
I didn’t manage to read any e-ARCS last month so I think that’s going to be my focus this month and get the reviews done for them sharpish. Fingers crossed everything goes to plan this month.

- Midnight in Chernobyl by Adam Higginbotham – After watching the Chernobyl series I really wanted to learn more about the catastrophe and what really went on. I’m excited to find out more and read this one.| PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book on a subject you know nothing about & 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – A genre you don’t normally care for |
- Uncommon Type by Tom Hanks – This is an anthology I have been really excited to read. I haven’t heard much about it but I love Tom Hanks so I’m hoping I love this just as much| PopSugar Reading Challenge – An anthology & A-Z Reading Challenge – “U” |
- The Alice Network by Kate Quinn – I didn’t get around to reading this one last month but I have heard wonderful things about this book and I am excited to read about the work these women did. | PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book that passes the Bechdel test |
- The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern – The Night Circus is one of my favourite books and I bought this one a really long time ago and haven’t got round to reading it. Something I need to change ASAP. | 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – A bestseller

- Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens – I have heard such wonderful things about this book and I have had it on my list for a little while. I can’t wait to see if I love it as much as everyone else did. |PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book about or by a woman in STEM & 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – A book used in a celebrity book club & A-Z Reading Challenge – “W”|
- Tripwire by Lee Child – I have been reading the Jack Reacher novels and this is the next one, I’m so happy that I managed to get it to fit into a challenge.| 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – A spy novel |
- Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel – Another one that I didn’t get around to reading but I still love the sound of this one, and it has had some really great reviews and who doesn’t want to learn more about a travelling dystopian circus? | PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book set in a country beginning with C & 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – Published when you were 20|
- 10 Minutes 38 Seconds in this Strange World by Elif Shafak – I seriously cannot wait to get into this one, I have heard wonderful things about this book and the author, so fingers crossed I love it. | 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – Literary Fiction |

- Harry Potter 7 – I finally finished Order of the Phoenix & Half-Blood Prince last month so I’m hoping that working from home will mean that I’ll be able to listen to more audiobooks and finish my reread!
- The 7 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle – I have heard mixed response from this one but willing to give it a go!

All of the books above are part of a challenge and I realised that I have books that I want to read but that can’t really take priority at the moment, so I have added a section for books I want to read but only if I get some of the ones above read.

- The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley – I’m really intrigued by this one and I have heard really great things about this so I’m really excited to make more time for this one.
- Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas – Hoping to carry on with the series and get finally ready for Kingdom of Ash! I cannot wait!
- The Black Prism by Brent Weeks – I bought this one in Waterstones just before we went into lockdown and I wanted something to read in case of self-isolation.
- Walkers of Dembley by M.C. Beaton – I just really love reading this series, it makes me immensely happy and I love how involved I have gotten with the characters!

What are you planning to read in April? Let me know in the comments below!

Enjoy the month ahead! Crawdads disappointed for me which is often the way for talked about books lol!
I’ve noticed a LOT of people reading Station Eleven all of a sudden. I don’t know if it’s because of the pandemic or the fact that her new book just came out, but it’s totally worth reading😁
