November Wrap Up & December TBR | 2023

If last month was a month of business, this month was one of illness. I cannot remember the last time I felt completely healthy. It has been a rough time and the worst bit has been I haven’t wanted to read and it’s been low on the priorities. I really wanted to end the year on a high but it seems like I’m going to struggle.

Stats for my November Wrap Up

  • Books finished – 7
  • DNF – 0
  • New reads – 6
  • Rereads – 1
  • Pages read – 2265

As Good As Dead

I was so glad to finally get this series finished. It definitely went a lot darker than I was expecting but not in a bad way. Pip ended up becoming a badass and I really enjoyed that aspect.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Prince and the Troll

I still have no idea what the hell this book was about and it was a shame. I think if it had been longer then it would have had a better impact.

⭐⭐1/2

  • A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E Schwab – ⭐⭐
  • The Ballad of Never After by Stephanie Garber – ⭐⭐
  • A Curse for True Love by Stephanie Garber – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Murder at St Saviour’s by Merryn Allingham – ⭐⭐⭐
  • Murder at Abbeymead Farm by Merryn Allingham – ⭐⭐⭐
  • As Good As Dead by Holly Jackson – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • The Prince and the Troll by Rainbow Rowell – ⭐⭐1/2

Iron Flame

I was so excited for this sequel but I will say it hasn’t gripped me as quickly as Fourth Wing did! It’s been a little bit of a struggle to pick up which is a shame because once I’m in I’m engrossed.

Murder in a French Village

I’m really enjoying these short cozy mysteries, and this is the last one in this series published until February 2024. They are such easy reads and I’m enjoying all the different character dynamics.

Every Heart a Doorway

A reread for me, I adore this series and can’t wait to delve into the later books in the series once I have relived the earlier ones.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Harry Potter is a comfort read for me and I usually put the audiobook on in the middle of the night when I’m struggling to sleep and need to calm my brain down. It will probably take me a while to get through but it’s like a warm cup of tea.

December TBR

I have managed to change one of these books but mood reading definitely took over once again and these fell by the wayside. Once again I’m not even sorry about it, I’m hoping my 2024 reading will be a little more structured but for now, this seems to be working out for me.
