December TBR | 2019

December is going to be the month that I catch up. I have so many books that I want to read and I also have so many e-arcs that I have completely abandoned, so this will be the month where I get on top of everything and I will desperately try to read as many of them as I can.

  • CTRL+S – This has been on lots and lots of my TBRs and I have never actually got round to reading it. So this will be the month where I actually get it done!
  • Bound in Flame – I love the sound of this one, the idea of finishing school and all the different mythical elements that seem to take such a big part in the story.
  • The Long Flight Home – I love historical fiction, and WWII is one of my favourite times of history and this has been on my list for a very long time! So I’m excited to get into this one.
  • Stronger, Faster and More Beautiful – I love the concept of this one, I think it’s an interesting thought the lengths we would go to become the perfect species.
  • The City of Brass – This sounds like a book that would be right up my street, I love the idea that there are magic and djinn. I can’t wait to see whether it’s going to hit all my expectations.
  • No Fences in Alaska – I love a good family drama and this book definitely seems to have that going for it. I don’t know whether it’s going to be all too much but I’m willing to give it ago.
  • The First Time I Saw You – I love a good romance so this one sounds amazing especially if it ends up being love at first sight story that has been done well.
  • As Far As The Stars – Missing plane? Road trip? Could I really ask for more from a story? Not really and I’m excited to see where this one ends up going to be honest.
  • The Subtle Knife – The second instalment in His Dark Materials and I can’t wait to keep on reading the series and finding out where the characters end up going.
  • Becoming – I have had this one on my list for a really long time and I just haven’t actually committed to reading the story.
  • Circe – I love the greek stories and myths, I wasn’t a massive fan of The Song of Achilles, so I’m hoping that this might redeem the last book.
  • By Grand Central Station I Sat Down and Wept – Working in a library this book was recommended to me and it’s another romantic type of novel which is something I love.
  • The Amber Spyglass – The last instalment of His Dark Materials and I cannot wait to see how the whole story ends and where the characters all end up.
  • Bird Box – I watched the movie on Netflix and really enjoyed it. I want to see whether the book is better or worse. I’m not sure it’s going to be as scary but we shall see.
  • Hag-Seed – After reading The Testaments and enjoying it so much I really wanted to read more of Margaret Atwood’s work. This one has been recommended as being a good one.
  • Amulet #1 – A bit of light reading to break up everything else.

I don’t think I’m going to read them all but I thought I would aim to read as many as I can. Let me know what you’re reading this month!
