May Wrap Up & June TBR | 2022
I wanted May to be my redemption, but I need to reshape my expectations. Gone are the days where I could read over ten books in a month, my priorities have changed and my time challenges have changed. So I’m going to be happy with the books I do get to read and hope for the best coming out of each month!
So no more beating myself up about how much I have or haven’t read.

Gallant
This book was a phenomenal read, I loved how atmospheric it was as well as how the characters grew throughout the story. I knew it was very unlikely that I was going to hate this one, but I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1/2

The Enigma Game
This isn’t to say this was a bad book, I just had a disconnect with both the story and the characters. I think there were some really great moments but I wish there had been a little more cohesiveness between events.
⭐⭐⭐

- Gallant by V.E. Schwab – ⭐⭐⭐⭐1/2
- Romancing Mister Bridgerton by Julia Quinn – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Unbound by Cara McKenna – ⭐⭐⭐
- The Enigma Game by Elizabeth Wein – ⭐⭐⭐

The Shining Girls
I really want to read this one and then watch the new Apple TV program. I’m only 10% in at the moment but it has captured my attention, but we shall see how long it takes me to get through! It’s exciting to see whether this is going to be a new favourite or not.
June TBR
This TBR is destined to stay the same for forever I think. I am really hoping to knock some of the books off and finally be able to replace some book covers. However I do know that I’m still in a massive mood reading phase and this book slump is not going anywhere anytime soon so expectations need to be managed. If you see any books on here that you think I need to prioritise then please please give me some direction!
