July TBR | 2020

I have fallen behind on everything so I am going to be pushing through and focusing on my challenges and seeing if I can knock some of them out of the park especially as we’ve hit the halfway mark. I’m hoping to find some of the motivation I had at the start of the year to make a difference!

I really need to keep on top of my arcs so I’m going to try and read a few more this month especially as they’re on my Kindle which I seem to read quicker than other books.

• All The Birds in the Sky by Charlie Jane Anders – I’m actually really intrigued by this one, I haven’t seen a lot of people talking about it and I’m kind of excited to go in completely blind with no expectations or plan | PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book by a trans or nonbinary author |
• Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman – I am a huge fan of Neil Gaiman and I would really like to get to a point where I have read all of his works. So I’m excited that I found a book to fit a prompt.| PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book set in a city that has hosted the Olympics & “N” in A-Z Challenge|
• The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen – This will be a reread for me and I’m kind of excited to see whether I still love it as much as I did back then. | PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book with a map |
• Heartless by Marissa Meyer – I was a huge fan of The Lunar Chronicles and cannot wait to see if this one meets my expectations. It’s going to be a rollercoaster. | PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book with the same title as a movie or TV show but is unrelated to it

• A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman | I read My Grandmother… and fell in love with Backman’s writing so it seemed like a good time to pick the book he is known for! | 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – A character who is a senior
• Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice – I have tried to read this one recently and gave up but I’m determined to give it another go and see if I can get an audiobook for it. | 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – Written in the 1970’s & “I” in A-Z Challenge
• The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho – This was one that has been sat on my shelf for so long and I’m excited to see whether it lives up to all of the hype for me. | 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – Orange on the cover
• Regretting You by Colleen Hoover – I have heard AMAZING things about this book and I enjoyed the other books I have read by Colleen Hoover so I thought this would be a natural progression | PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book with a pink cover & 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – Book with romance & “R” in A-Z Challenge

• The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde – I was recommended this book by my best friend and I’m kind of excited to see whether or not I love it as much as I want to. | PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book with a pun in the title
• Year One by Nora Roberts – I have seen so many of Nora Roberts books out and about that I thought I should probably see whether they were worth the hype. | PopSugar Reading Challenge – A book with a bird on the cover & “Y” in A-Z Challenge.
• The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch \ This one seems to one that I think I’m going to enjoy. I haven’t heard too much about it but I have high hopes! | “L” in A-Z Challenge.
• The Cold Dish by Craig Johnson – I’m not sure I’m going to like this one, it’s a genre I have never jumped into but we shall see if it’s a good read or not! |PopSugar Reading Challenge – A Western & “C” in A-Z Challenge & 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge – Title beginning with C

• The Viscount Who Loved Me – This is the second one in a series and I have to say I’m in love to be honest. I adore the set up of these books they just make me happy.
• Ninth House – I have tried to listen to this one before and didn’t really get too far but I’m hoping I’ll get into and love it as much as other people have.
