April 2026 TBR

This is going to be a little bit of a whirlwind and all previous plans are going out of the window. We are heading to Disney for the majority of April so I’ll be taking my Kindle and nothing else so I’ve planned accordingly.

Series I’m starting or carrying on

• Queen of Roses by Briar Boleyn
  • I wanted to start the Bloodwing Academy books but realised it was better to start with this series so here we are. I’m very excited to see where it ends up, have heard nothing but good things.
• The Wolf King by Lauren Palphreyman
  • I have NO idea what this book is about if I’m honest I just know that everyone LOVES it and I want to get in on the hype, obvs.
• Sweetpea by C.J. Kruse
  • The TV show is actually what drew me to this book and I am super intrigued about the premise. I love a good thriller and this seems to be the epitome of female rage.
• Gild by Raven Kennedy
  • Another one I know very little about but I want to join in the craze. I also have the other books in the series on my Kindle so there will be no issue carrying on if I enjoy it whilst I’m away.

Rereads

• A Court of Wings and Ruin
  • We have an announcement for ACOTAR 6&7 so we’re upping the ante on our reread and getting ready to FULLY enjoy those two new books. I CANNOT WAIT.

Standalones

• The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Boston
  • I finished The Dead Romantics and really loved it. I have heard some really good things about The Seven Year Slip. Plus I think it will be a good light hearted read that I can pick up and put down at ease when things get busy.
• The Everlasting by Alix E. Harrow
  • I don’t think I have read a Alix E. Harrow book yet and this one seemed to be a good fit. I think the premise is super interesting and it could be a 5 star read.
• The Safekeep by Yale Van Der Wouden
  • This was by the till in Waterstones and I picked it up on a whim. I have no idea what it was about. But there has been a lot of good buzz about it as a whole. Plus it’s only a short one so shouldn’t take up too much time.

Illumicrate catch up

• I have had an Illumicrate book subscription for literal months and haven’t made reading them a priority so there’s a new category. I’ll have the previous month’s book and another one as an attempt to get through some of them.

Another busy month for me and I’m definitely not going to get to all of them, but it’s nice to have a goal, no matter how unattainable.
