October Wrap Up | 2020
This month has been one of the better months I finally feel as though I’ve hit my stride and I think I might be able to finish the year strong but we don’t want to jinx anyone!
On with the wrap up:
- 7 books read
- 0 e-arcs
- 3491 pages
- 17 blog posts published (not including this one)
- 72/100 books read for Goodreads Challenge (2 books behind)
- 35/50 prompts completed for the POPSUGAR Reading Challenge
- 17/26 letters completed for the A-Z Reading Challenge
- 34/52 prompts completed for the 52 books in 52 weeks challenge.

- Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine| I think this has been my favourite book of the month and it will definitely be on my favourite books of the year. I love the characters and the concept, it was brilliantly written.
- Keep You Safe by Melissa Hill| There aren’t even words for me to describe how much I hated this one. I thought it was going to be a really good commentary on anti-vax but it was the opposite. Awful writing.
- Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury | I wanted to really love this one but I just didn’t connect with the story or the characters. The commentary was interesting but everything happened so quickly.
- The Crossing Places & The Janus Stone by Elly Griffiths | These were brilliant books, so atmospheric and wonderfully written. I really love the ideas behind them and the characters were brilliant as well.

- Mr Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloane | I really didn’t love this one. There was a really wonderful concept running all the way through which was ruined by technology. I was really gutted I didn’t love this one.
- Skyward & Starsight by Brandon Sanderson | I really enjoyed these two and I’m excited to see where the story ends up going in the third one. There was a lot of politics and school training which was brilliantly written.

- The House on the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune | I absolutely LOVED this book. I cannot put into words how much I loved the characters and the creatures in this one, it was a perfect book.
- An Offer From a Gentleman by Julia Quinn | This is definitely becoming a problem but it is definitely one I am enjoying. I love the romance and the love in this book.
- Lord of the Flies by William Golding | I haven’t read this one since high school and I think this one hit me harder than I thought it was going to to.

I think I’m finally making headway through my challenge TBR but there are definitely some books I still need to get too.

What did you manage to read this month? Anything good? Let me know in the comments!

Gosh, you’re brave, re-reading Lord of the Flies – I wouldn’t go there! Happy reading in November.
Nice reading! I have also read a few extracts of lord of the flies in high school, but haven’t read the whole story since.
