October Wrap Up & November TBR | 2022

October was the month we all could see coming, the month in which the challenges took a snowball. I think I need to admit defeat and give them up. To be honest I’m not too sad about it, it kind of feels like relief if I’m honest, I can fully commit to being a mood reader for November. Despite letting the challenges go, I managed 6 books, and there were some really spicy reads, which was great, and audiobooks also helped out a little this month!

Stats for my October Wrap Up 2022

  • Books finished – 6
  • DNF – 0
  • New reads – 5
  • Rereads – 2
  • Pages read – 2544

CHALLENGE UPDATE

  • PopSugar challenge – 1 prompts completed
  • 52 Books in 52 Weeks – 0 prompts completed

Praise

I hit a stride with some spicy reads this month and nearly devoured this entire series. I loved the characters and the dynamic, it was really well written with great sex scenes and great plot. Even if the drama was a little much some times.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Weight of the Stars

I really didn’t love this book, which was a shame because I was expected great things. The way it was written was awful, the plot made no sense and the character development was sketchy at best. Just wasn’t a favourite.

⭐⭐

  • The Weight of the Stars by K. Ancrum – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Kink Camp: Hunted by A. Anders – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Praise by Sara Cate – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Eyes On Me by Sara Cate – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Give Me More by Sara Cate – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • A Torch Against The Night by Sabaa Tahir- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Violet Made of Thorns

The Fairyloot special editions are piling up and I quite enjoyed the sound of this one, but it has been a little bit on the slow burn so not sure whether it will be a favourite. I’m still not sure where it’s going to end up going.

November TBR

We are becoming a mood reader so there is a huge list of books, that I may or may not read, but I have to read 13 books before the end of the year. There are a few series finishers on this list, and ones that have been in multiple TBRs. I cannot wait to jump into this month and really just love reading the books again.
