Book Events/Festivals I’d Love to Go to Someday| Top Ten Tuesday
I thought about this prompt and instead of putting 10 festivals together I would put together a post about YALC and the two occasions that I managed to get there. Also whether I plan go back, I haven’t heard of many others and would love to hear which ones you would recommend I look out for, preferably UK but maybe Europe as well.
Things I loved about YALC
- All the free books and exclusive arcs.
- Meeting my favourite authors and getting my books signed
- Spending SO much money for new books
- Hearing authors talk about the process
- Getting to see my best friends and spend a long weekend with them!
Things I disliked about YALC
- Sometimes it feels like organised chaos
- Lots and lots of queuing
- Huge crowds

Have you been to YALC? What did you think? Let me know!

YALC does sound fun! If you go early in the day, are the crowds smaller?
My TTT .
They can be, but there are always really cool signings and panels in the afternoon so you want to stay for the entire day! <3
YALC always gives me FOMO – I see the posts every year and debate about booking a plane ticket for the following year!
My TTT
It really is one of my favourite events, plus all the books just make me over the moon excited. <3
I definitely wouldn’t be a fan of the huge crowds…eek!
Yeah, they aren’t my favourite and it can actually make the entire event really stressful! xo
“Sometimes it feels like organised chaos” haha I can definitely see that! That would be a bit frustrating.
What is the issue with organised chaos? The organisation or the chaos? Glad you loved it though and I’d love to go sometime
The chaos, definitely. Waay too many people to be dealing with that! haha xo
