February Wrap Up | 2022

So February I fell off the wagon a little with my reading and I had my first DNF for the year and I’m a bit gutted about it if I’m being honest. I have spent most of this month rereading the Bridgerton series ready for the release of the next episodes at the end of the month. But it’s okay, some months are going to go better than others.

Stats for my February Wrap Up 2022

  • Books finished – 3
  • DNF – 2
  • New reads – 1
  • Rereads – 2
  • Pages read – 1029

The Duke and I

There is something about this series that just feels good. Obviously the 🌶 spicy 🌶 content is amazing but the actual storyline is well written and keeps me entertained all the way through.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

Tbh I quite enjoyed certain aspects of this book but out of the three it would be the one I wouldn’t pick up again. I struggled a little with the continuity of the story and with liking the characters. It would have been a great book if I had had the connection I was craving.

⭐⭐⭐

Sword of Destiny

I’m not sure what went on with this book, but I have tried on multiple occasions to read this one, and it actually ended up putting me in a slump. So I’ve given up on reading the series and I’m just going to watch it.

  • The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid – ⭐⭐⭐
  • Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death by M.C Beaton – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • The Duke and I by Julia Quinn – ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’m loving rereading this series, it’s such a fun and easy read. Plus I love a good murder mystery and this completely fits the bill. Murder mystery without being hard to stomach.

February wasn’t the greatest month for reading so this list hasn’t changed too much. I’m hoping March will be the month I can get back on top of everything. I’m not holding out much hope – baby has taken to enjoying contact naps and getting anything done is becoming a thing of the past.

  • The Radium Girls by Kate Moore
  • The Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley
  • Blankets by Craig Thompson
  • Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas
