Book Titles with Numbers In Them | Top Ten Tuesday

I am currently on holiday in Florida, so I thought that these weekly memes would be a great way to keep my blog running over whilst I wander and enjoy the land of the mouse!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week we’re talking about books that have numbers in the title, and this turned out to be a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. I haven’t read all of these but I have found some new books that are definitely being added to the TBR.

  • Twenties Girl – I haven’t read any of Sophie Kinsella’s books and I’m keen to jump into them. This sounds hilarious, especially with the sparring relationship.
  • The Year We Turned Forty – Another book that I haven’t read but another that I think I would really enjoy. I love the fact that there are multiple characters and storylines.
  • The Forty Rules of Love – This sounds like such a beautiful read, I love the idea of a literary agent reading a book and getting involved with it.
  • The Three Musketeers – A classic, but I haven’t jumped into it yet, it was one that is a little intimidating. I might have to make some time for it.
  • I Am Number Four – This is a book that has been sat on my shelf for so long and I have never managed to pick it up. I have heard mixed reviews about the series so I’m a little dubious about it.
  • 100 Days of Sunlight – I read an ARC of this book and I have to admit I wasn’t sure why it received such rave reviews. I definitely struggled to connect with the characters.
  • Three Dark Crowns – I really enjoyed this book and the way that everything seems to work out in the end. I really want to jump into the sequel but I just haven’t made the time.
  • The One Memory of Flora Banks – This was another book that I really didn’t enjoy. I struggled to understand what was going on with the characters and why it was the way it was.
  • The Big Four – I am a huge fan of the Agatha Christie books, I have fallen off the bandwagon a little if I’m honest but this one was a little more filled with espionage and dramatic storylines.
  • Thirteen Reasons Why – I hated this book. Like really hated it. I didn’t like the concept and I definitely think it glorifies suicide and adds to an idea of a blame culture.

Have you read any of the books I’ve mentioned? Which one would you recommend?

  1. I read maybe the first four books in the I Am Number Four series, but never got back to it. I’d love to find time to finish it. Just got the last book in the Dark Crowns series. Enjoy your vacation!
