2021 Reading Challenges and Blogging Goals
After having such a good experience with challenges last year I thought that it would be good to try and do them again this year. I love the structure they give me and I love having something strive for, I have decided that for now I’m going to leave the A-Z challenge. As much as I enjoyed doing it last year it didn’t really add too much and I would prefer to try another challenge out.
I will be again doing TBRs for each of the challenges and I have tried to base my ideas around books that I’m already excited to read this month.
2021 Challenges
Audiobook Challenge

I am definitely going to be giving this one a try, last year I managed to get the rank of “Binge Listener” so I’m going to aim for 30+ this time around.
Posugar Reading Challenge

I so LOVED this challenge last year, it felt like a challenge and it forced me to read books I would never have picked up otherwise so I’m excited.
52 Books in 52 Weeks

Another challenge that I really enjoyed and actually felt as though it was part work to find books. I didn’t do SO great at this one last year so I want to out do myself.
Pretty Messy Reading

This is a new one for this year, there aren’t as many prompts as the others and I’m hoping I’ll be able to get through them all.
Blogging Goals
Last year became a year of survival in both my reading and my mental health and the goals I made were lost in the panic so I want to take it a little easier on myself this year and really get focused on what I want to achieve and get some smaller goals done.
- Be active in the blogging community.
- I don’t want to put a number on this one purely because I want to be commenting on posts that interest me rather than making up numbers.
- Copy all over reviews to Goodreads
- I really want this to be a priority this year and become more active on that as a platform and connect to different reviewers on there as well as on the blogging.
- Work on my SEO
- There isn’t a year where this won’t be an aim of mine, I always want to be striving for more visibility!
Social Media
I’ve only got one goal this year, which is to be more consistent on all fronts but not to feel pressured by it. I am aiming to be better as a whole with social media but I don’t want it to take over my life completely.

What are you aiming for this year? Let me know what you’re excited for in 2021.

Those are some great goals! I wish you all the best for 2021☺️
I wrote my blog for my 2021 goals too, but this year I decided to keep it simple. So no pre planned reading challenges yet. But maybe a lot of read alongs☺️
Around the six month mark I wish I hadn’t planned any reading challenge but they are a good way to keep me on the ball throughout the year!
Yes and I guess it’s become a sort of a ritual that brings in a sense of excitement more than anything else. I’m half sure I’ll only stick to the number of books read by the time I reach the end of the year recap😂
Good luck Jordann!! Happy Reading!!! ❤📚
Thank you – I definitely think I’m going to need it!
Good plans! I want to read my whole TBR as it is by the end of the year (argh!) but I don’t think I’ll manage. And I have my challenge to read all of Anne Tyler through the year, which should be fun and I have various people joining in. Enjoy your reading!
That is a BIG challenge, I will definitely keep my fingers crossed for you! Oo, I might have to check Anne Tyler out!
She’s a good writer – do come and join me if you fancy any of them!
