Books I’ve Added to my TBR and Forgotten Why | Top Ten Tuesday

I was actually quite surprised at how many books I had on my shelves that I had forgotten about or didn’t remember why I had them. I try my best to unhaul books that I’m not interested in any more so it was werid to find ten books that I didn’t realise I had.

• I’ll Give You The Sun | I have no idea where this one came from. I don’t even know what it’s about or if I still want to read it but it’s sat on my shelf and maybe I’ll get to it someday.
• The Novice| This is a book I have had for the longest time but I can’t remember picking it up or what drew me to the book in the first place but I am still definitely interested in reading this one.
• White Teeth | Another one that when I was looking at my shelves I had no idea where or why I had picked that one up. I don’t know what it’s about or whether it would be something I’d be interested in – more research is definitely needed.
• I Am Number Four| I have heard a few things about this book and this series but I cannot remember why I picked it up. Maybe I’ll pick it up one day but I have definitely seen mixed reviews.
• Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister| Who knows what I was thinking when I picked this one up. I think I’ll be unhauling this one soon, I really couldn’t read Wicked and I hated his Alice in Wonderland one so I don’t think this one will be up my street.

• Leviathan| I cannot for the life of me remember where this came from. I can’t recall reading a lot about it but I’m definitely intrigued because the Uglies series is one of my favourites.
• The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet| Not only do I have the first one of this series but I also have the second one. I haven’t heard a lot about this series or this book, but I love a good space story!
• The Summer I Turned Pretty| I actually know where I bought this one, but I’m not sure why I bought it. I feel like this was a series that was talked about so much a couple of years ago but I’m not sure if this is my sort of thing any more.
• Salem Falls | I have a love/hate relationship with Jodi Picoult, part of me really loves her stories but I struggle with the characters and the endings. So I don’t know why I picked more books up especially when there are SO many books I want to read more.
• Give Me the Child| This was probably a relic from me working in the charity shops last summer. I will definitely be reading this one, eventually but it was a surprise to see it on my shelf!
