Reading Rush Roundup

So you already know how this post is going to go. I was WAY too ambitious with my choice of reading material and underestimated how much time I would have available to read. So although I still read more books than I usually would have in a week I didn’t do too well with the challenges.

So here is my Reading Rush Roundup, I read:

• 3 books
• 1,102 pages

The challenges were:

1. Read a book with purple on the cover
2. Read a book in the same spot the entire time
3. Read a book you meant to read last year
4. Read an author’s first book
5. Read a book with a non-human main character
6. Pick a book that has five or more words in the title
7. Read and watch a book to movie adaptation

Okay so I’ve crossed out the challenges that I managed to complete so the books I read were:

• So I finished Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and watched the movie which covers challenges 4,6,7. I was supposed to read Wunderkids, but didn’t get around to it!
• I also finished The Cruel Prince which covered challenge 3.
• Good Omens was the last book to be finished this week and that covered challenge 5.

So in terms of the challenges I didn’t get to, I didn’t even start Sleepless which was the book with purple on the cover and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was supposed to be read in the same spot, that didn’t happen at all!

I definitely enjoyed my first readathon and I will definitely be keeping my eye out for some others I can get involved in. Maybe prepare myself a little more next time! If you know of any good ones coming up then let me know!
