September Wrap Up
I say this every month but this time I really can’t believe that we are nearly in October. This month has gone by so fast. Like super fast. I don’t mind though. September seems to have been a long month regardless of the speed it passed. Onto my September Wrap Up.
September had a good reading month. I read almost all the books on my September TBR which you can read here. I finished all but one, which I am pretty happy with if I’m totally honest with.
Queen of Shadows and Empire of Storms
Queen of Shadows is the only reread on my September Wrap Up and I loved it. It was great to dive back into the world and relive all the wonderful characters and stories. I don’t think I have loved a series quite as much as this one since Harry Potter.
Then came the fifth book and I almost lost my crap. This book had me in stitches but also in tears, it is definitely one of my favourite instalments. I love it. Read my entire review here. I had so much to say about this book, I almost struggled to contain myself.
This was a book that I had extremely high expectations for and it let me down. I was wondering if it had anything to do with the fact that I had just read THE best book ever. The characters weren’t well rounded and the world building was awful. I really struggled to love this book, you can read all my thoughts here. It wasn’t a great addition to my September TBR and I’m kinda sad about it.
I don’t even know what to say about this book. It completely oversold itself as being a magical experience. It’s one saving grace was the beautiful writing. I adored the writing style but it couldn’t quite make up for the holes in the plot and the flat characters. I don’t know what it is about my September TBR but it didn’t go particularly well. Read my full review here.
Feast for Crows
This isn’t technically done. I’m about 350 pages in, and this one seems to be denser than the others. I seem to be struggling getting through it. Will keep you updated though!
So onto October, look out for my October TBR, it will be up really soon.
Have you read anything interesting recently? Let me know.
