October Wrap Up | 2019

So October was a slow month for me in terms of reading only because I was basically on holiday for three weeks and let’s just say reading wasn’t high on my list of things to do. Meeting Mickey and Minnie were though! So my wrap up this month is going to be a very short one.

  • 5 books read
  • 0 e-arcs
  • 2,263 pages
  • 10 blog posts published (not including this one)
  • 86/80 books read for Goodreads Challenge (Completed!)
  • The Queen’s Poisoner – I have been intrigued by this series for a little while now and I am so glad that I actually picked it up. It had all my favourite things in it and the characters were amazing.
  • The Thief’s Daughter – I jumped straight into the sequel and I loved that one just as much. So much political intrigue which is always my favourite.
  • Crazy Rich Asians – I had watched the movie of this one and I wanted to see what the book was like. I definitely enjoyed it but reading the footnotes was a little bit of a pain on my Kindle.
  • When Dimple Met Rishi – This one looked like so much fun, I did think it was a little predictable and I saw what was going to happen a mile off but I genuinely enjoyed reading this one.
  • The Handmaid’s Tale – This was a reread because I am finally getting around to read The Testaments so wanted to bulk up my knowledge of Gilead beforehand. I actually enjoyed this one WAY more than I did previously.
  • When We Believed in Mermaids – This was a lovely book, it was a little predictable but the story was well told. I enjoyed reading about the two sisters and their life growing up.
  • The Testaments – This was one of my most anticipated books of the year and it definitely didn’t disappoint! I was so happy with how this book worked through everything.
