Logan St. James is a smoldering, sexy beast. Sure, he can be a little broody at times—but Ellie Hammond’s willing to overlook that. Because, have you seen him??
Sexy. As. Hell.
And Ellie’s perky enough for both of them.
For years, she’s had a crush on the intense, gorgeous royal security guard—but she doesn’t think he ever saw her, not really.
To Logan, Ellie was just part of the job—a relative of the royal family he’d sworn to protect. Now, at 22 years old and fresh out of college, she’s determined to put aside her X-rated dreams of pat-downs and pillow talk, and find a real life happily ever after.
The Queen of Wessco encourages Ellie to follow in her sister’s footsteps and settle down with a prince of her own. Or a duke, a marquis…a viscount would also do nicely.
But in the pursuit of a fairy tale ending, Ellie learns that the sweetest crushes can be the hardest to let go. ***Logan St. James grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, in a family on the wrong side of the law. But these days, he covers his tattoos and scars with a respectable suit. He’s handsome, loyal, brave, skilled with his hands and…other body parts.
Any woman would be proud to call him hers.
But there’s only one woman he wants.
For years he’s watched over her, protected her, held her hair back when she was sick, taught her how to throw a punch, and spot a liar.
He dreams of her. Would lay down his life for her.
But beautiful Ellie Hammond’s off-limits.
Everybody knows the bodyguard rules: Never lose focus, never let them out of your sight, and never, ever fall in love.

When I said I binged it, I really did mean binge. Royally Endowed is the final book in the Royally series and I’m sorry to say my least favourite. It still drew me and I still felt as though I loved the characters but there was something missing. I feel like the magic and the love were a little stale, and there wasn’t that same kind of chemistry and swept of your feet feeling. I would have loved for there to have been a little more development and to really get to know the characters in and out. But overall as much as I enjoyed this one, it just didn’t compare to the others.

Characters in Royally Endowed

This book follows Ellie, the younger sister of Olivia who we meet in the first book. Royally Endowed follows the sibling as she tries to work out her feelings for hunky bodyguard, Logan. All in all it was an enjoyable book, and I did enjoy watching these characters grow throughout the story and figure out who they were. I think what was the most interesting point of the characters was that we got to see Ellie mature into adulthood and figure out her life plan. Plus she got to do all of that without much emotional input from Logan which was great.

The story arcs in Royally Endowed were numerous and not all of them become full stories. There was missing development because these issues weren’t explored. As a result, I really wanted to see the assault side of things pushed forward a little bit. Logan’s family who made a split-second appearance. All of these for me would have moved the story higher and made me feel more for the characters as a whole. But, they weren’t and I feel as though we missed out a little. It made the characters feel a little superficial.

Good and bad bits

Where to start? I think I loved the buildup in Royally Endowed more than the others. There were definitely higher risks if everything went pear-shaped and I enjoyed that dynamic. Watching as Ellie grows from a naive teenager to a woman was well written. It was an interesting concept and one that I think paid off in the end. As always, the sex scenes in this book were divine and really well-paced and done. I loved how they all come together at the end and it really rounds out not only this book but all of the others.

The bad bits for me were not only the issues with the character development but the change in Ellie’s life, I don’t want to spoil too much. The way her career and life ended up was a little bit of a disappointment. I feel as though there were so many better options but that seemed to be the easiest and the one Emma chase went for. If things had gone down a different path, I would have been happier. This is probably why it’s my least favourite of the three.

Recommendation

I would recommend this series to anyone, although this book wasn’t my favourite the series as a whole is fantastic. I adored every moment I spent in this world and I really think they are well-written with great characters. If you are looking for something new to read, these should definitely be on your radar!
