WWW – 14/12/16 | Blogmas Day 14

blogmas 2016, memes, www wednesday / Wednesday, December 14th, 2016

I loved the thought of WWW, so now would be a great time to add it to the run up to my blog. I’m not sure whether it will be a weekly thing or a maybe a fortnightly thing.

What are you currently reading?

At this very moment I’m so close to finishing A Dance With Dragons 2: After The Feast. It’s so bittersweet, I adore
the series and the characters so I don’t know whether I’m ready to finish it. It’s one of those that I want to finish for the massive achievement but I don’t know what I’m going to do with myself while I wait for the next book to be released. I’m really enjoying this book, it’s one of the best of the series. There is so much action happening at the moment that I can’t put it down, I am completely engrossed. Totally in love.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished the Revenants series. It started off so well and I thought it was going to be one of those guilty pleasure series, but oh how I was wrong. It slowly deteriorated into something that wasn’t bearable anymore. The tropes overtook the story and the characters became like cardboard cut outs and I wished for the complexity of the more adult books on my shelf. Is this a sign I’m outgrowing YA or just awfully written books? Read my first review here.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I plan to read The Girl on the Train, I seem to be on an adult reading streak, and this has been sat on my shelf for so long and I keep meaning to get to it. Now seems to be the best time to get around to it. I’m really excited to find what it’s all about, plus I can’t watch the movie before reading the book. I’m weird that way.

Have you done WWW? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. I’m glad you’re liking A Dance with Dragons. I only made it through the first two books before I gave up and watched the TV show, haha. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
