Waiting on Wednesday : The Song Rising

Welcome back to Waiting on Wednesday, a book meme that I haven’t taken part in for so long. Well this week it’s a repeat. In fact this book was the first ever Waiting on Wednesday I ever did. Well it’s back because my brain just can’t cope with how long I have left to wait for this wondrous adventure to continue.

May I introduce for the second time… THE SONG RISING.

That’s right this week is Waiting on Wednesday : The Song Rising. The third book in the beloved Bone Season series, and I have to say it is definitely one of my all time favourite series. I may be over excited because there is less than six months to go before the publishing date which is crazy and I want to cry a little. I have waited so long for this book, that I think my life will be complete when I have it in my hands. Until I finish it and need the next one.

If you don’t know anything about this series, please see the description for the first on below and then run to your nearest book shops and buy them ALL.

The year is 2059. Nineteen-year-old Paige Mahoney is working in the criminal underworld of Scion London, based at Seven Dials, employed by a man named Jaxon Hall. Her job: to scout for information by breaking into people’s minds. For Paige is a dreamwalker, a clairvoyant and, in the world of Scion, she commits treason simply by breathing.

It is raining the day her life changes for ever. Attacked, drugged and kidnapped, Paige is transported to Oxford – a city kept secret for two hundred years, controlled by a powerful, otherworldly race. Paige is assigned to Warden, a Rephaite with mysterious motives. He is her master. Her trainer. Her natural enemy. But if Paige wants to regain her freedom she must allow herself to be nurtured in this prison where she is meant to die.

I mean if Waiting on Wednesday : The Song Rising hasn’t sold you on the series then nothing I say is going to change your mind. But seriously. Go pick it up and you won’t be disappointed! I promise!

Have you read The Bone Season? Are you as excited as I am to have this wondrous book sat in your hands ready for devouring? I can’t breathe I’m that excited.
