The Reread Starts Again | #IMWAYR #4

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and er… add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Books I Read Last Week

I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

The Reread Starts Again | #IMWAYR #4Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik
Source: Netgalley
Genres: YA

Miryem is the daughter and granddaughter of moneylenders... but her father isn't a very good one. Free to lend and reluctant to collect, he has loaned out most of his wife's dowry and left the family on the edge of poverty--until Miryem steps in. Hardening her heart against her fellow villagers' pleas, she sets out to collect what is owed--and finds herself more than up to the task. When her grandfather loans her a pouch of silver pennies, she brings it back full of gold.

But having the reputation of being able to change silver to gold can be more trouble than it's worth--especially when her fate becomes tangled with the cold creatures that haunt the wood, and whose king has learned of her reputation and wants to exploit it for reasons Miryem cannot understand.

I thought this book started and ended really well, but the middle kinda lost me a little. Which I’m super sad about, I have such mixed feelings about this book. I just wanted to change the focus a little and have it show the parts I was the most interested in! I have written a full review here!

Currently Reading

I’m back on my reread! I’m like 50 pages through already and LOVING every second. This series makes me unbelievably happy! I love the characters, especially Feyre who really comes into her own in this book. One of my absolute favourites.

Up Next

The whole reason for the reread! I’m really excited for the continuation of the series, but please someone tell me they were just a little disappointed with the size? Like come on, I wanted another 400 pages, not a novella. But that is life.

What are you reading this week? Are you enjoying these posts? Let me know if there is anything you want me to write about in the comments below!

  1. I decided this was a week for me to re-read too but I chose The Others by Anne Bishop. I need to catch up on that Sarah Maas series but, like you, need to re-read the first books before tackling the most recent. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  2. I like the idea of rereading and want to make time to do so but not sure what yet. I have seen so many readers love Sarah Maas books but haven’t read them, but never say never!
