Renegades | Can’t Wait Wednesday #9

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, created to discuss books that book bloggers haven’t read yet and they’re usually books yet to be released. I ran across it when looking for new content ideas for The Book Blog Life, and it looked like so much fun. BUT I’m going to break the rules a little, it’s rare for me to be looking forward to book releases, PURELY because I’m so busy with everything else going on I don’t have the time to keep a track of sequels, and so forth. So I think I’m going to do books that are sat on my shelf for a little while and I can’t wait to read them so this week it will be Renegades!

Renegades | Can’t Wait Wednesday #9Renegades by Marissa Meyer
Genres: YA
Published by Feiwel & Friends

Secret Identities. Extraordinary Powers. She wants vengeance. He wants justice.

The Renegades are a syndicate of prodigies — humans with extraordinary abilities — who emerged from the ruins of a crumbled society and established peace and order where chaos reigned. As champions of justice, they remain a symbol of hope and courage to everyone... except the villains they once overthrew.

Nova has a reason to hate the Renegades, and she is on a mission for vengeance. As she gets closer to her target, she meets Adrian, a Renegade boy who believes in justice — and in Nova. But Nova's allegiance is to a villain who has the power to end them both.

I saw this in Waterstones last week and thought I would treat myself as I needed a little cheering up and what better way to do that then buying myself some more books for my shelves. I saw this one and was definitely intrigued, I love Marissa Meyer, I’m actually a huge fan of The Lunar Chronicles and I didn’t even know that there was a new series out! I love the fact that this book is all about superheroes and there seems to be a definite hero and villain element going on. I think I’m going to be super thrilled reading this and jumping into a new series!

Have you read Renegades? What did you think? Is it better than The Lunar Chronicles – is that even possible? Let me know in the comments!

Renegades looks so good! I do need to finish the Lunar Chronicles first though – I loved Cinder but for some reason haven’t continued.

Haha! I’m way too behind on my TBR as it is, I don’t have the capacity to monitor and buy more books!

I will seriously devour anything that Marissa Meyers writes, because her books just really are THAT good and this one is no exception. I love a story about a group of people rising up from the ruins. You can sell me that story every single time and I’ll buy it 100 times over. Great pick. 🙂

Gorgeous blog, I am definitely following you!

If you get the chance, come by my blog and check out my Can’t-Wait Wednesday post.
