You may remember if you have been following me for that long that at the beginning of this year I bought myself an Erin Condren planner to run my life, to-do and this here blog. Well, I used it for a couple of months but decided that ultimately it wasn’t for me. I found the layout and having to have two separate planners to be cumbersome and time-consuming. I have no doubt that for some the Erin Condren would be the best thing ever, but for me, that honour sits with the Bullet Journal system.
I went a couple of months in planner limbo, not entirely sure what I wanted or how I was going to make a planner work for what I needed. I knew I wanted to use a bullet journal, I just wasn’t sure how. I finally think that in December – yes the last month of the year – I have found the system I like.
I love the customisation that a Bullet Journal affords me. I can choose what I include on each page and I can also change the way I plan my day, week or every month depending on what I needed at that particular time. It’s great because it allows me to find what works for me in that moment and what is important to me at that moment. Plus I get to do collection pages for serious things like mood or self-care and for something fun, movies and TV shows tracker.
I’m really excited to set my Bullet Journal up for next year and get all my collection pages all lined up in a row. I might even do a flip through in January of the collections I have chosen and why. I don’t think anything else is as great as creating your bullet journal for the new year.
Are you interested in the planning system I use? Would you want to see a flip through? Let me know in the comments.
