It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and er… add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!
It’s been a little while since I’ve done one of these but I’m excited to get back to them. I love reviewing what I’ve read the week before, I think it keeps me on track with my reading and what I want to achieve for the year! And with 2019 having more structured goals I definitely need to keep track of what I’m reading and why!
Books I Read Last Week
The first two are completely guilty pleasure reads. I love the characters and the way that everything seems to come together in these stories. They have helped pull me out of the reading slump that I found myself in! Would definitely recommend this series!
The Twisted Tree was a Netgalley find and I really enjoyed it, the combination of Norse mythology and thriller was perfect and I really enjoyed the plot line. There were some issues with how fast the plot moved and whatnot but it was enjoyable none the less.
Listened to last week
I can finally say that I finished listening to this Poirot mystery. It’s been a long time coming but I loved this one and the ending was really well done and put together. I loved the characters and I thought the actual plot was really well done!
Some of the people I work with decided that it would be a cool idea for us to set up a monthly book club with various different books for each month. The Desperate Bride’s Club is January’s pick and I have to say I’m really enjoying it! It’s a lovely read and one that is quite relatable for January!
I’m on a bit of a self-help journey at the moment and I’m loving The Bullet Journal Method, and I might have to do a post about my planning because I feel as though I may have actually found planner peace which is something that’s never happened before.
Following on my self-help journey I’m trying to become more productive with my time and make sure I get everything I need to get done done. This books is super interesting but it is really technical language that I can sometimes struggle with.
I have borrowed This Is Where It Ends from the library and I cannot wait to read it. I have heard amazing things about it as a story and book so I’m really hoping it lives up to not only my expectations but the hype!
What was your week of reading like? Did you read anything that completely blew you away? What was it? Let me know in the comments!
