Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, created to discuss books that book bloggers haven’t read yet and they’re usually books yet to be released. I ran across it when looking for new content ideas for The Book Blog Life, and it looked like so much fun. BUT I’m going to break the rules a little, it’s rare for me to be looking forward to book releases, PURELY because I’m so busy with everything else going on I don’t have the time to keep a track of sequels, and so forth. So I think I’m going to do books that are sat on my shelf for a little while and I can’t wait to read them so this week it will be Jurassic Park!Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton

State-of-the-art science and suspense combine in this uniquely exciting high-tension thriller from the author of The Andromeda Strain. Bio-engineers create authentic, detail-perfect, real-life dinosaurs for a Pacific island theme park, but scientific triumph explodes into horrendous disaster as the first visitors encounter the unbelievable.
I am a HUGE fan of the Jurassic Park films but have never made the time to read the book that inspired it all. I’ve always been a little worried that the book won’t live up to the films. Which is strange because it’s usually the other way around. I bought the book a long time ago in a charity shop and it has sat on my shelf ever since. I don’t think I’ve ever been more intimidated by a book in my life!
Have you read Jurassic Park? Did you love it? Does it live up to how great the film is? Let me know in the comments!
