Favourite Novellas/Short Stories | Top Ten Tuesday #4

I actually think I’m going to struggle with this one, I don’t read a huge amount of novellas or short stories. I don’t know why I just don’t gravitate towards them. They don’t usually satisfy me, so this list is a list that has been stretched as far as I can possibly can, so please forgive the fact that there are books that are all part of the same series.

Every Heart A Doorway & Down Among the Sticks and Bones

I adored this “series” of short stories – I count these as short stories because they are a lot shorter than all the other books on my shelves. I was ridiculously sad when I finished reading these and I’m eagerly awaiting the next addition to the world and stories.

The Assassin’s Blade

This book is the prequel to one of my favourite series – Throne of Glass – if you haven’t been around my blog then you won’t know how strong my love for this series is! I think this book is the perfect addition it explains how everything comes to happen!

No Place Like Oz, The Witch Must Burn & The Wizard Returns

I haven’t read Dorothy Must Die Stories in a really long time, but I know that they were really great stories that added something more to the general storyline! Plus I really love the way the different Wizard of Oz characters each have a new twist and these books definitely add to that!

Half Lies

I have a love hate relationship with this series, in the sense that I loved the first book and pretty much hated everything that came afterwards. By the time I read this I was so done with this series that it didn’t even make an impact. I will definitely be passing on this series and it won’t be read again!

Snowscape

I thought that this was a nice ending to an absolutely amazing series! I’m actually debating on whether it’s time for a reread. Not that I don’t have enough on my tbr to read already!! I sometimes hate these lists because it reminds me of all the books that I’ve already read and loved!

AND I CHEATED OKAY…

These two are books that are sat on my shelf but I haven’t gotten around to reading yet, but they can totally be on this list right?

Fairest

The Lunar Chronicles was one of the first reviews I ever put up on this blog and I have been meaning to read this book ever since! So this is long overdue! I don’t even have an excuse but it might mean a reread which I am definitely up for!

Dorothy Must Die Stories: Vol 2

This will be definitely one to read after I finally get round to reading the series again. But who knows when that will be! But as with the above volume, I really enjoy the way these short stories add more to the different characters.

What are some short stories and novellas that I should check out? Let me know in the comments!
