December 2017 Wrap Up

31st December 2017

You may have read my December TBR and remember how ambitious I was with setting out what I wanted to read. Well it’s safe to say that I’m definitely not going to be reaching my Goodreads challenge and I definitely didn’t manage to read all the books on my TBR. This December 2017 Wrap Up is going to be short and sweet.

Crown of Midnight – Empire of Storms

I have spent my month rereading the A Throne of Glass novels. I adore these books and I wanted to be ready for when I started reading Tower of Dawn. The ending still gets me and the characters are some of my favourites. I was so glad that I made time to reread this series and I’m happy that it has been my only physical book read for my December 2017 Wrap Up.

Audiobooks

I finally rekindled my love for audiobooks this month and started listening to the Agatha Christie Poirot series, something I have been meaning to do for a really long time.

The Mysterious Affair at Styles

I really enjoyed this book, surprisingly so actually. I thought that the age of the book might ruin the atmosphere for me but in fact, it made it all the more intriguing and interesting for me to read about. I love the fact that it made it onto my December 2017 Wrap Up.

Currently Reading

Tower of Dawn

The next installment in A Throne of Glass and the one I’m the most dubious about. Chaol isn’t my favourite character, in fact he is pretty far down on the list, so a book all about him doesn’t sound like my cup of tea if I’m honest. Plus the ending of Empire of Storms was such a huge cliffhanger that I wanted to know about anyone else! I’m enjoying it so far, so we will see.

The Murder on the Links

The second book in the Poirot series and I’m currently listening to on Audible and really loving at the moment. I think I made a good choice in choosing Poirot as my starting point. I think in the new year I’ll start Miss Marple as well!

IRL

I have definitely had a busy month, started off with an exam and then getting ready for Christmas, it has been one of the best though! I’m really looking forward to 2018 and everything it will bring with it. I’m hoping to keep up to date with my schedule and book reviews – something I failed at by the end of this year (all up to date now!).Chat with me. (1)

Let me know what you read in the Christmas month! Did you read Christmas themed book, or do me and just read what you wanted?
