Bookstores/Libraries I’ve Always Wanted to Visit | Top Ten Tuesday #17

I think the bookstore is where every bookworm feels at home and where they want to spend all their money. There are definitely a few bookstores where I would like to go and spend a few hours, because lets be real these aren’t small bookstores and libraries. These are the bookstores and libraries to end all bookstores and libraries!

  1. The Strand bookstore
  2. City Lights Books
  3. Libreria Acqua Alta, Venice
  4. Powell’s, Portland, Oregon
  5. Honesty Bookshop
  6. John K. King Used and Rare Books
  7. The Last Bookstore
  8. Brattle Book Shop
  9. Elliott Bay Book Company
  10. Word on the Water

So there are my ten, I think there would be so many more, but this is called Top Ten for a reason. I’m now going to go away and plan on how to make as much money as I can so I can visit all of these places and spend WAY too much on baggage home!

What were your picks for this week? Are there any that you have already planned a trip for? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I went to Powell’s City of books many years ago when I was in the Navy. Our ship stopped in Portland and I pretty much spent the whole day there. I really don’t know how I stumbled upon the bookstore. I’d love to visit again.
