Books to pull you out of a reading slump | Top Ten Tuesday #9

I love this topic! Reading slumps are some of the worst especially if it follows on from reading an amazing book and you feel like nothing’s going to top it. I definitely have books that pull me out of even the worst slumps, and if I have a review then the cover below will be clickable!

All of these books are books that I immediately gravitate towards if I’m having a bad reading month. They feel like coming home, and they make me happy to read again. There are definitely some of my all-time favourite books on this, basically anything that Sarah J Maas writes will always get me out of a reading slump, same with the Six of Crows duology, there is definitely something about these books that draws me out of my shell a little.

The others are generally feel-good reads that no matter where or when I read them they make me feel good about everything! Which I always think is one of the most important things about coming out of reading slump, reading books that make you feel good after you read them!

Let me know what books you read when you’re trying to get through a reading slump! I would love your recommendations!

So many amazing books on this list that would pull me out of a reading slump. Some actually put me into a reading slump because I just wanted to live in the pages of their worlds for so much longer then I actually did. Great list!!

I loved Six of Crows and really enjoyed The Bone Season and Throne of Glass (though I like later instalments in both series better than the first books). I wasn’t that keen on ACOTAR but I liked ACOMAF better. The Night Circus actually did have me feeling a bit slumpy, just cause it took me so long to read but I can definitely see how it would pull you out of a reading slump if you really loved it, such an immersive book. I’m so excited to read Vicious!

Yasss to Cinder! I can’t wait to read the sequels. LOL. Anyway, I don’t really have a certain go-to when I’m in a slump, but I recently found out that audiobooks are great ways to get out of the slump. Here’s my TTT this week, with a link to get FREE 60 DAYS on Scribd so you can get unlimited ebooks and audiobooks [which are great ways to get out of the reading slump!] 😀

I LOVE The Night Circus! Great pick! Throne of Glass helped me out of a slump a bit ago! Happy Tuesday! 😀

Vicious! I need to reread that one before the sequel comes out. I need to read Six of Crows, too. It’s on a lot of TTT lists this week.
