My bookish valentines
I have been a little absent this week, purely because I haven’t been feeling the best, and I just haven’t been feeling up to blogging. I thought I would tell you guys all about my Valentine’s day because I’ve had an amazing time.
My fiance is a chef which means that although it would be lovely for him to be home the entirety of the day, it’s just not possible. I spent the morning in bed and had a lovely lie in which in my opinion is ten times better than being woken up with food. He came home early and it was present time, the beginning of the perfect bookish valentines. I got the most gorgeous thing ever:
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone: Illustrated edition
In passing comment that I wanted to collect the illustrated editions to read to our children whenever we may have them, and he went out and bought me it. To say I was bowled over was an understatement. Plus, can we please appreciate the prettiness of the pictures.
The front cover alone is just an absolute stunner, but it gets better and the detail in all of these photos are absolutely stunning.
Come on, look at the colours and boy has Hagrid ever looked better. I have a feeling I’m going to fall more and more in love with this book as time goes on.
I have a feeling I’m going to fall more and more in love with this book as time goes on. I love how much detail has been put into the book, and how well done the illustrations are. Genuinely going to be one of my favourites. The perfect gift for a bookworm, and the perfect bookish valentines
So after I had finished ooing and ahhing over how pretty it was. We went out for a lovely lunch and came home and began to get ready for our meal tonight.
Today has been one of the best. It fills me with joy. I love looking back on what we did even though it wasn’t super flashy or fancy. The perfect Bookish Valentines.
What do you and your other half do for valentines? Did you do anything special! Was your bookish desires fulfilled? Let me know in the comment.
