Bookish Dreams | Book Blogger Hop #7

I stumbled across The Book Blogger Hop – I’m trying to become more active not only posting on my blog but also within the book blogger community – and this week we’re talking about bookish dreams.

Have you ever had a bookish, nocturnal dream? If so, please share the story. If not, have you ever had a daydream related to books? If so, please tell us about it. (submitted by Maria @ A Night’s Dream of Books)

When I first read this prompt I was really excited and then I realised I don’t remember any of the specifics when it comes to my dreams and I’m really bizarre in the fact that if I go to sleep after either reading a book or listening to an audiobook I often dream about the characters. It’s almost as though I become a part of the book I have loved so much, I am another character alongside the others and working towards the same goals.

Having a dream where I am in the world with the characters is a sign that the book is going to be a favourite, it shows how enthralled I am with the world and the characters. The most recent book that this happened with was A Torch Against the Night which has become one of my favourite series. I love having an extended experience with the books and characters that I love so dearly.

So sorry I don’t have any specific dreams, but I don’t usually remember the specifics for the dream.

Do you have vivid bookish dreams? If so what are some that you remember? Let me know in the comments.

But you remember that it happens, so that’s a start! I find my dreams influenced by the books I’m reading (or tv shows I’m binging) if I’m really getting into them or feel particularly invested in the story, so I definitely understand where you’re coming from.

    Have a great weekend.

I love that about some of the books I have read, especially the books where I’m completely immersed in the characters and in love with the world! Thank you for the comment!

I very rarely remember my dreams either or at least not the details. That’s so fun that characters show up in your dreams! I wish that happened to me.

Yeah it can be one of the best – especially if it’s a book that I’m completely in love with! Thanks for the comment!
