August Wrap Up

August turned out to be a really productive month for reading, which seems to becoming a trait, one that I would very much like to keep up! My August Wrap Up this month is not only the entirety of my August TBR but also extra books!

Quick run through:

  • I read my two books from my 2018 I need to read list – The Diviners, which wasn’t the greatest and I definitely won’t be checking out the rest of the series and Burial Rites which blew me away, I loved the story and the setting.
  • I swapped out my TBR and jumped into Voyager, the next book in the Outlander series, it didn’t blow me away as much as the others but it still had Jamie Fraser which was a win.
  • Mirage was another extra and an e-arc. I have to say this was a great book, and I loved the culture and the way space was integrated into the story.
  • Then we fell into the memory vortex with The Sudden Appearance of Hope and Before I Go To Sleep, both these books were ridiculously good. I loved the way each of the books were built and set up.
  • The Wrath and the Dawn was a massive let down. Completely full of tropes and awful romance.
  • I finished the month of with another e-arc and this was a great ending to the month!

As usual, if there’s a review the cover will be clickable.

This month on the blog:

What did you read this month? Anything I should check out? Let me know in the comments! I would love some more recommendations.

  1. I’m happy for you that you got to read as much as you wanted to in August. I also read more than usual as I had and still have novels for promised reviews. My favorite books of August included Echoes by Alice Reeds and The Pioneer by Bridget Tyler (ARC, March 2019). If you enjoy science fiction, mystery, and just awesome writing, I highly recommend The Pioneer.
