August TBR

After such a great month of reading in July, I’m keen to keep the streak going, and hopefully catch up with my Goodreads challenge. My August TBR is going to be playing catch up on two counts, one for my Goodreads challenge and also because I completely forgot about my books I need to read list. It was a complete oversight on my part, I think it was down to me finally having the time and freedom to read that I got WAY too excited and forgot about it.

My baaad.

But here’s my August TBR… Being slightly ambitious but I’m really enjoying reading at the moment so I can afford to be.

Reading

So, The Diviners and Burial Rites are the books from my list for this month, and all the rest are books chosen from my shelves that I really wanted to get to. I have to say I had a really hard time picking books this month. I had to stop myself from rereading – which I’m trying to stay away from. If you guys have any books or series you think I should check out PLEASE let me know. Nothing on my shelves is looking super enticing at the moment.

Listening

I’m back on my audio book kick, so I’m planning to listen to the third book of the An Ember in the Ashes series and also carry on my Poirot read with Three Act Tragedy. I haven’t listened to a Poirot in a couple of months so I’m excited to listen to the detective’s latest adventure! Plus that’s part of a separate challenge I set myself for the year!

What are you reading this month? I’ve tried something new this month with both my TBR and my wrap up, what do you think? Let me know in the comments!

Agatha Christie is among my favorites for audio books. My youngest son and I listen to her on road trips!

I’m really loving the audiobooks, I have read a physical version of The Orient Express and it just wasn’t the same!

      Thanks for the comment.

Hope you like A Reaper at the Gates and The Wrath & The Dawn! I thought they were both good.

I don’t usually plan what books I want to read that far ahead of time… unless there’s a book that I have on pre-order or something. I don’t have that this month though… I have two books on pre-order for September 18th! That’s going to be a busy week!

I do have some books that I have to read first though. I am reading My Mother, Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and the Last Stand of the Angry White Man, which I got as an ARC and plan on reviewing on my blog on Monday, then I have Crown of Midnight which I got from the library, I have an ARC on George Whitefield to review in two weeks, and another ARC to review in three weeks. Then I’ll probably have some library books coming in as well. We’ll see if I find time to read anything else this month.
