I have started this process already by writing out all the books I need to read in 2019, but I wanted to have a more structured approach to my reading this year and I want to take part in more challenges! So I’ve been through and decided which challenges I want to be a part of and any other reading goals I want to achieve, including my Goodreads challenge for 2019.
- My Goodreads Challenge
This one is a hard one, because for the past two years I haven’t beaten my Goodreads challenge, but I’m hesitant to put it down. So for 2019 I’m going to stick at 80 books in the year!
I love the idea of reading one book from each of the categories throughout the year. It’ll be a great way to motivate me to read and also to find and read new books!
This is definitely a challenge to push me out of my comfort zone a little. I don’t know how much of reading it’ll make up but I’m up for challenging myself a little with a new genre.
This is another one that will hopefully push me outside of my comfort zone and might provide a little crossover with the other challenges but I’m looking forward to reading new genres.
I am a big believer in libraries and making use of them so they don’t disappear. I am also saving up for a holiday and hopefully a house so money for books may not be on the cards next year so this is a perfect solution!
As you can see I’m hoping to motivate myself to read a lot more this year and also move past my comfort zone and find some new genres that I might enjoy even more.
Let me know if you’re taking part in any of these challenges! I would love to know your reading plans for 2019!
