This week is a Thanksgiving/thankful freebie, so I thought I would do books that I’m thankful for, which should be a lovely trip down memory lane for me. Plus it’s a chance to revisit all my favourites, which I don’t know whether that will be a good thing or more of a distraction.
These books are all books that have really impacted my life in some way. Harry Potter is an obvious choice, it was the first series that I felt completely in tune with and connected with. The Bone Season, Every Heart a Doorway, An Ember in the Ashes and A Throne of Glass were all books that introduced me to some of my favourite series of all time. Vicious, The Famous Five and The Enchanted Wood, are all books by some of my favourite authors, so super grateful to have learned about those. All the Light We Can See and Anna Karenina are books that I really enjoyed and loved to read, so super grateful to have the chance to read them. It’s Kind of a Funny Story was the first book I read where the portrayal of depression was close to what I’ve experienced.
