March TBR | Hoping for a better month than the last!

Posted March 1, 2018 by Jordann @thebookbloglife in 2018, tbr / 0 Comments

I can’t believe that it’s March already and I’m coming up with another March TBR, and I don’t think I’m going to overstretch myself. I don’t want another failed month of reading but I also have to be realistic. There is a big assignment deadline coming up and that has to be my main priority so reading might be put on the back burner again. I hope it isn’t but life happens. So on with my March TBR

The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August

No matter what he does or the decisions he makes, when death comes, Harry always returns to where he began, a child with all the knowledge of a life he has already lived a dozen times before. Nothing ever changes.

Until now.

As Harry nears the end of his eleventh life, a little girl appears at his bedside. ‘I nearly missed you, Doctor August,’ she says. ‘I need to send a message.’

This is the story of what Harry does next, and what he did before, and how he tries to save a past he cannot change and a future he cannot allow

I started this book last month and unfortunately haven’t finished it, it’s a book that needs concentration and time to read, something I have been massively short off recently. I am aiming to have this book read this month (if I don’t it will mean that I haven’t read anything).

Who Could That Be At This Hour?

Before you consider reading “Who Could That Be at This Hour?” ask yourself these questions:

1. Are you curious about what is happening in a seaside town that is no longer by the sea?

2. Do you want to know more about a stolen item that wasn’t stolen at all?

3. Do you think that’s any of your business? Why? What kind of person are you? Really?

4. Who is that standing behind you?

I am a huge fan of Lemony Snicket and after rereading A Series of Unfortunate Events last year, it was definitely time for me to start reading the new series. This month is going to be a tough one with a lot of technical reading, so I thought it would be a fun addition to my March TBR. Added bonus is that it’s on my 2018 books I need to read challenge. So win win.

Dorothy Must Die

I didn’t ask for any of this. I didn’t ask to be some kind of hero.

But when your whole life gets swept up by a tornado – taking you with it – you have no choice but to go along, you know?

Sure, I’ve read the books. I’ve seen the movies. I know the song about the rainbow and the happy little bluebirds. But I never expected Oz to look like this. To be a place where Good Witches can’t be trusted, Wicked Witches may just be the good guys, and winged monkeys can be executed for acts of rebellion. There’s still a yellow brick road – but even that’s crumbling.

What happened? Dorothy.

They say she found a way to come back to Oz. They say she seized power and the power went to her head. And now no one is safe.

My name is Amy Gumm – and I’m the other girl from Kansas.

I’ve been recruited by the Revolutionary Order of the Wicked.

I’ve been trained to fight.

And I have a mission.

Another one that was on last month’s TBR and one that I didn’t get to. This is a fun reread, and I’m all about making my March TBR fun at the moment. I will probably end up reading the others on my shelf if I get to finish this one. It always works out that way – not that I’m complaining, the more I get to read, the happier I am.

That’s it folks! I have some really great books on there (but not too many!) What are you reading this month? Let me know in the comments!
