I have been using Goodreads for a very long time, don’t ask me when I started because I have no idea. Well back in the day I don’t think I really understood the whole shelf system and as a result, my Goodreads shelves are shockingly disorganised and not only that but there are books on there that I apparently wanted to read and now I don’t.
There are also other categories that I want to have so I can organise the books that I have read better. Ones that when I finished them I knew I would want to reread, books that have a slow beginning but I should battle through to the end, that kind of thing. I just don’t know how to go about actually organising the books that are already on my Goodreads shelves
The other problem is (and this isn’t really a big problem, more of an inconvenience) I don’t have any time, and my creativity is at an all-time low. I am currently studying for a professional qualification that is sucking up all my free time, PLUS on the more fun side, I’m right in the middle of planning my honeymoon (I have written a post on that but there might be an update coming soon).
Basically, I need your help to come up with ideas for the different shelves I could use and any tips to make transitioning them easier. I’m in two minds as to leave the current shelves the way they are (excluding want to read) and just start from now with the new ones or spend the time and sort them all out. We shall see.
What would you suggest? Have you done a massive overhaul of your Goodreads Shelves? Let me know!
