2017 Erin Condren Planner and Blog Planner

It’s the start of a new year and that means all the new stationery – the biggest one being a new planner for the year. Well this year I planned to splurge, I asked from my lovely mum for a 2017 Erin Condren Planner. Oh boy am I in love with it, isn’t it beautiful, not only is the cover a beautiful design, it has my married name on it and I just want to swoon.

Anyway I thought that I should probably take this whole blogging and being a puppy parent seriously and get my organisation together. So I have my 2017 Erin Condren Planner and a completely separate blogging planner. I have my crap together! Well the whole point of this blog post is to run through how I use each planner and why.

2017 Erin Condren Planner

This is my everyday planner, this is the one that I plan my days, and my life in. I have a column for my to dos, blog and notes. I use my to-do for all my life things that I need to get done that day, I colour code the items depending on what they are so for example sake we have red for anything that involves Penny and looking after her. It helps me when I take a fleeting glance on what I have on for that day. I have my notes box and I put anything I’ve spent that day, or whether I have something on that day. I originally had it as an appointments box but I felt that it was a little restrictive for what I needed. Notes give me a chance to write down anything I think off throughout the day. It’s nice. It’s one of the things I love about the 2017 Erin Condren Planner, the freedom is complete. I can customise each weekly spread whatever way I want. Plus there are a load of free printables out there! So no having to spend an absolute fortune on the stickers! My last box is used for my blog. I use flags to let me know if there are blog posts scheduled for that day, and then I write a general things that I need to do with the upkeep for my blog. You know graphics and updating older posts. I don’t go into massive detail with it, that is what I have a secondary planner for, purely to write all about my blog, to plan for my blog. My 2017 Erin Condren Planner helps me keep an eye on things, to make sure I’m on track with EVERYTHING in my life, not just my blog.

In short after a week of using my 2017 Erin Condren Planner I have to say that I am really enjoying it. I think I’ll make a review in a couple of months and see if it’s still going strong or whether it’s sat in the bottom of my drawer gathering dust.

Blogging Planner

I picked this one up by mistake, however it serves my purpose perfectly. I thought it was a really cheap version of a filofax in TKK Max. Well little did I know it was a gardening planner and it was full off seed markers and stickers, but the cover was wonderful and it came with a crap ton of blank paper which I can use where I want and how I want. I have a post planner, which I use to date and plan any upcoming post. I plan to add a habit tracker based on my blog, such as whether I posted that day, whether I posted on twitter, and other social media. I’ll be writing my yearly goals and monthly goals as well. I also want to start doing giveaways, so I need somewhere to keep a track of the cost and the winners contact details as well.

I’ve been book blog planning for a little while, and it really works, it makes me focus on what I need to do and what my blog needs. It really works for me.
