Birthday Book Haul Part 2

I recently turned 23 and a birthday is a good enough reason to have a birthday book haul part 2! So let’s have a look at all the books I managed to lay my hands on!

Stand-a-lone books

Rebel of the Sands

This was a cover buy pure and simple. I couldn’t even tell you the first thing about this book apart from that the cover is absolutely superb. The blue and gold makes this book one of my favourite to look out, so maybe the story will follow suit.

So listen up publishers!! Covers make a difference. Take your time making sure you design the right one!

Me Before You

Another Audible read. This book destroyed me in so many ways that I just had to have the book on my bookshelf.

This follows Louisa as she becomes the paid companion for a quadriplegic who is set on ending his life. Destroyed me. Completely. Wait for the review its going to be a great one.

My mother-in-law bought this one for my birthday and I know nothing about it apart from the author wrote PS I Love You which is one of my favourite books/films of all time.

I have high hopes for this book and I’m refusing to read any of the reviews online in case a) I spoil myself or b) I find myself disappointed.

The royalty of all books

Can we talk about how beautiful they are. They are the new clothbound books that Waterstones are carrying, and they feel great in the hand and the inlay is gorgeous.

I asked for Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights, they are two of my favourite classics. Jane Eyre for me is definitely a

girl power type of book and it holds a dear place in my heart. Wuthering Heights on the other hand broke my heart and it’s one that I can see returning to a lot. They never stop teaching you something and for that reason they will make fine additions to my bookshelf.

With all the new additions for this birthday book haul part 2 a new bookcase is definitely in order. I’m very excited to organise them all. The excitement is all in the aftermath.

What are your favourite books to buy or receive for your birthday? Let me know in the comments!
